If you are looking to buy any electrical or electronic equipment or appliance from the Salon Collective website and you are buying from a private household, you can return free of charge and on a one-to-one basis any Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment provided that any such WEEE -
(a) is of equivalent type to, and
(b) has fulfilled the same function as, the supplied equipment.
"The WEEE Regulations aim to reduce the amount of WEEE being sent to landfill. It is important to achieve this goal because when left in landfill sites WEEE can have a hazardous effect on human health and the environment. In accordance with the Regulations, all new Electrical and Electronic products are now marked with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol. Items marked with this symbol should not be disposed of with normal household waste."
